Every release below is early and clearly labeled as such. Checksums are published so you can verify what you downloaded actually matches what was built -- always verify before installing, especially while SmechOS is still in beta.
Bootable live ISO with KDE Plasma 6 running on a systemd + glibc base. Boot straight into a full desktop session with no installation required. Includes Google Chrome, Plasma Discover (backed by the SPK PackageKit backend), and the Calamares graphical installer to optionally commit to disk. Three GRUB boot entries: Live, Live (nomodeset), and Install via Calamares.
Minimal network installer ISO. Boots into a TUI wizard (language, timezone, hardware detection, partitioning, network, profile selection, microcode check, GRUB install). Requires a wired internet connection during install.
After downloading, compare the file's checksum against the value listed above before writing it to a disk or booting it:
sha256sum smechos-plasma-live.iso sha256sum smechos-installer-minimal-netinst.iso
If the output doesn't match exactly, don't use the file -- re-download it instead.
